After Gmail has introduced the
new inbox groups
your mail into categories which appear as different tabs about 5 months
back, the standard tabs currently filter messages as 'Priority',
'Updates',
'Social' and 'Promotions' based on their content, who sent it and how
many recipients were listed.
Now Google have been experimenting with UI in Gmail by introducing the Menu bar icon next to the username by adding icons of other google products.The new interface change of Gmail have taken out the menu bar at the top. Instead they have added a menu icon which has all the google products inside where the menu icon looks like using in smartphones. As you can see in the picture below.
